Thread: Chopping block warning icon

I think it would be helpful if when someone is placed on the chopping block, an icon such as a skull or similar is placed next to their username, so that potential inviters can immediately see that the person is on the chopping block and can hold their invites until the situation is resolved.



I see that it can take 2 - 3 days for someone to respond to the accusations and for the matter to be resolved, even though they are warned not to participate in giveaways, some bad seeds can choose to ignore this and 'hit n run' so to speak.

Ofcourse only a staff member can choose to put the user on warning status, and remove it when resolved (either punishment or exoneration).

This will act as a further deterrent for people to behave so as to not appear on the chopping block as nobody would want to be seen with that warning icon next to their name.

A reasonable though i would say. It's up to the mods now.

yeah! This sounds like a good idea. It'll help out people doing giveaways a ton.

Agreed with this as well. Would be very helpful to those of us giving out invites.

Again, it's up to the responsibility of the inviter to do research ahead of time. The chopping block is probable the first and easiest place to check. I also don't want to be singling someone out just because there might of been a misunderstanding on the block. It's more like a hat of shame, and could do more damage than good.

As mods, we don't have the permission to change people's icons or user classes which ends up leaving a permission gap. We handle a fair amount of the chopping block threads and we'd either have to get more permissions in the forums or forward it to an admin.
