Thread: Please compare TL to IPT/SCC (content)

Hello everyone!



One of the reasons I signed up here is I was looking for a tracker information community such as this. Right now I'm on:

TorrentDay - music videos + 0day software.
PussyTorrents - porn.
TorrentLeech - everything else.

I don't like being on many trackers and I try to use as little trackers as I can to fill all my needs and I want to have as much releases as possible on my trackers (not that I need it, but to have the option).

Can someone compare TorrentLeech to IPT and SCC content-wise? Do IPT/SCC have good music vid/ebook/software sections (not 2-3 releases a day, but more like everything)? What one tracker have that other doesn't? Does an all-in-one tracker exist at all?

I don't want to join IPT/SCC and not use it hehe. Thank you!

IPT is pretty much the same as TL, but i'm not part of it so i will refrain from comparing them.

But i know that the content at IPT and TL are bigger than in SCC. Why? SCC is a scene-only tracker, so the p2p content is forbidden. You will not see things like Vision or Wiki encodes there.

--- since i am not on SCC, i will tell you about IPT. Although i have TL, as well, i have to admit that i use IPT frequently, and the fact that it's overcrowded with freeleech torrents makes it better than TL. When it comes to pre-times, i think ( not for sure ), that TL's better than IPT. But when it comes to content, IPT is by far above TL, with about 131K torrents. Also it's overcrowded with porn, maybe a little to much porn, i would say. For a user that doesn't want to many trackers, i could say that the TL + IPT combination is more than enough. Due to all the freeleech-rage on IPT, ratio above 1:1 is very, very easy to keep, even with a lame home internet connection.

--- but then maybe SCC is better, all i know is that when it comes to pre-times, SCC beats them both. About content, community and other stuff maybe a SCC member could come up and tell you more.

I'd like to know if there's any section or anything on SCC that is not on IPT/TL. I don't really need the best pre times. Otherwise I'd probably try out IPT and use that with TL.

If you don't care about pre-times SCC will be a waste of time and effort, it is not easy to seed there as it is on IPT. If you want music, go with What.cd or Waffles, almost any music you wnat is there.

--- i think that after all, the number of torrents says it all, and declares IPT as a winner in your "competition". You'll always find at least 1 seeder on older torrents on IPT and if you don't care about pre-times, then you won't feel them as being a disadvantage against SCC's. As Fractal showed above, the categories are various, and so the content richer.

Well since i am a member of all three i will let you know what i think.

Personally my favorite of the three is undoubtedly IPT hands-down. Thats why i have a 2.5+ TB upload there, i just love the place. The content is amazing and diverse, with fantastic speeds and fairly quick pre-times. I am not one to care about pre-times as there is never that big of a difference, as i can wait an extra hour if necessary. The only time that i would care though slightly is towards the last few hours of the month where i have usage left and wanna finish it xD. Like morph pointed out they have a stack load of freeleech torrents so keeping a ratio should be a breeze, also people seem slow at snatching the torrents, so if you are on the lookout from time to time like me, then you should be the first to snatch the torrent like me sometimes. Another plus is that they are kind with invites so it should be easy to get one if you need one. Currently tracking 113025 torrents, its easy to see that is an amazing site with alot of content.

Now to TL, well it is undoubtedly one of the biggest trackers when it comes to users. Currently tracking 28491 torrents you can see that IPT has way more content (thats if i got the numbers right which i believe i did). The tracker is great, fast pre-times, and great speeds. However they are harder to seed with such a high number of users, but if your first to snatch then its all good. Thats not saying its hard, just saying IPT is better. Also they are less kind when it comes to invites so it should be slightly harder to find an invite. However overall another excellent tracker.

SCC is one of the most popular and sought after trackers and its popularity only increased with the decease of ScT. SCC is an exceptional tracker, with the fastest pre-times compared to IPT and TL. Also the speeds there are amazing, and it tops my download speed most of the time, because like everyone has a seedbox there, also the forums are also great. However to every good there is a bad and for SCC it is the seeding, as everyone has a seedbox and people snatch like crazy, I continuously refresh my page every like 3 seconds for half an hour to be the first snatcher when it comes to a torrent but even then like 20 people jump on at the same time, so its extremely competitive. If you don't have a seedbox it is extremely hard to survive which is unforunately like me but thanks to the seedbox giveaway section here i was able to get a great buffer thanks to the seedboxes provided to me by the great members here. The best thing i find about SCC is the packs they have, they are diverse and all have alot of seeds, and best of all they are all freeleech and thats where you can build a good buffer. Though invites are hard to get as people pay for them and therefore receiving them is quite hard but mine thankfully was provided to me by my good friend LetterZ.

So overall i like IPT the best, great and large content, nice pre-times, easy to seed, nice community, excellent speeds and easy to get invited too.

I myself prefer IPt normally I have seen TL delete the old torrents(even sometime with small no. of seeds) that's why ou see a difference in number but as far as I know TL release more torrent comparatively and have better pre then IPT..
but the reason I prefer IPT is cause they don't ask "are you human" each time I try to login and you can get nice seeders for old torrents and packs too..

but for software IPT pwn it. if you are looking for more software content IPT is a must have after demonoid.though not sure about SCC but I don't think it will stand anywhere near TL/IPT content wise...

Wow wow that's some nice replies there. I think I made up my mind that I will be trying out IPT (already on TL) and compare these, especially if you say they have a good software section.
